When you enter the Church, you can expect to be loved on as soon as you walk through the door. You will be greeted by friendly faces. You will see that we are a multi-generational and multi-cultural body. Please come as you are, dressed up or dressed down, we want you to be comfortable. All are welcome. Also, you will see a lot of kids. We LOVE our kids. We have Nursery, Children’s Church and Youth Aged Programs.
Our worship experience is very diverse. The Refuge Church loves to change it up. We will worship to many styles; Gospel, Traditional, Contemporary and Hymns. You will see some people clapping, others may lift their hands, some may be crying, others may just worship in silence. We are a house that believes that you should worship, respond and receive from the Lord the way that you feel comfortable, while being obedient. We encourage you to come as you are and worship how you feel led.
Our Pastor is very relatable, transparent and has the ability to communicate a relevant message for today’s needs. Regardless if you have been in church your entire life or if you have never stepped foot into a church building, Pastor Mark has the ability to communicate a multi-layered message. Pastor Mark is sensitive to the Holy Spirit, funny, serious and heartfelt with every sermon he preaches. He does not preach at you, but to you… Teaching, preaching, exhorting, encouraging and challenging. You can expect the messages to be between 30-45 minutes at length. You will always have the opportunity to come up for prayer after the message, but will never be forced. We are a church that believes in prayer and ministering at the altar.
